This afternoon, I filled up a bunch of water balloons to play with in the yard. Andy likes them. Carter likes them. Perfect afternoon activity!
Wrong!
Apparently Carter only likes hitting others with the balloons. She really likes that part! But she's very much not a fan of being soaked herself (blame her?). She tried desperately to get Andy to toss his balloons at the swing set, not her. In her best efforts to avoid getting hit, she turned her back to high-tail it behind me ... and Andy nailed her. Not hard, but she did get soaked. And she was mad!
In the beginning, when water balloons were still good

Water balloons "are no fun, Mama!" She retreated behind my chair on the deck, knowing Andy knew better than to hit me!
