Carter's got a croupy-cough this weekend, and she's been fighting it - and us! - since Friday afternoon.
She's 3 now, so she no longer needs naps, or so she thinks. And heaven forbid we miss anything, so she has to get up at 7am daily. And, in hopes of not missing anything, she's not really fond of going to bed either.
Pair this with coughing through the night and just not feeling well in general, and you have a Carter-Beast!
The snuggle-moments are few and far between at 3, so you've got to get 'em while you can!
"And when she was good, she was very, very good ..."
Today, Kelsey and the boys came up to play at the Science Center with us! Whether it was bubbles or snakes, the kids had a blast!
The wind pattern and the ball are always a hit!
Smarty Pants created a gear system that made the propeller spin! See, girls are smart! Especially THIS one!
Which tracks is fastest? I don't know, but my money's on the track being manned by Grant!
The bubbles are our favorite area!
Collin liked them, too!
Putting on a show ... puppet show. She's always putting on a show!
The kids enjoyed the textile wall!
A little too much! Curious Carter made her own face!
In the Iowa Animals hall, the kids saw the turtle and snakes, but they liked the stuffed beaver. I heard Grant saying, "No Carter Kay. No," and noticed she was trying to lean out to pet the beaver. When Grant tells you no, you know you're being a twerp!
Collin and Carter predict the weather
Carter assists with Channel 13's Hurricane Tracker, continuing to keep Iowa safe
The snake was cool!
Cool, but we're not getting on!
Carter said, "Come on, boys!" As if they really were her own entourage!
Colly and Carter and the Super Ball Wall (super cool wall!)
Heading out for lunch with three starving kiddo's in need of PB&J!
A lolly, for being so great!
After the Science Center, lunch and playing with the Boys, Carter and I curled up. For "not needing a nap," she sure looks out to me!
Thanks for coming up, guys! We had a BLAST! Spring break, we come to you, so plan accordingly!
So the seven inches of snow we got Friday night sucked (a LOT!), but we made the most of it today by going sledding. We went to a hill at one of the parks, and Carter had the best time! We went sledding, threw snowballs, and even bum-rushed Mommy (thanks for that!)!
Snowbunny
She had the best time!
Most sled down, but whatever makes you happy, Sweetie!
It's February. And it's gorgeous outside! I'm sure that means tomorrow hell will freeze over, but we did our best to get out and enjoy it today!
Andy put Carter's Christmas tricycle together, so we geared up and went for a ride. Carter did a much better job of pedaling than I expected! We also got the basketball hoop and chalk out, and got to visit with neighbor Terry and her puppy Scooter (thanks for stopping, guys! I'm totally taking you up on the offer ;) ).
Bring on 60+ degree weather! Tomorrow, dare I say, shorts?!!
Vroom, vroom!!!
Chalking in the sunny afternoon
"Draw me!" Carter lays on the ground, I trace her and we make Carter's. Plural. Like anyone of us could handle that.
