Our friends Stephanie and Isaac made a special trip to Ankeny for a birthday treat for Zach (Happy birthday, Zach! 25 today, right?!!). While in town, we got together for a date at the froggy park, Carter's favorite! We played in the sand, braved the equipment, and chalked under the shade of the pavilion while catching up. Isaac's growing up so quickly, and he is such a smarty! He can read his own name, with a dozen other words and names. He, sweetly, calls himself "Ikuc," which I adore! Carter and I both got a hug good-bye and an "I love you!" from him! What a sweet boy! He's a keeper, Carter Kay!

Thank you so much for "dating" us! :) Despite heat and sun and Isaac-crankiness and a plethora of daycare demons, it was awesome and wonderful. We *gots* to get together again soon!
