Girl's Shopping Weekend: the main event!

Mackenzie arrived at 8:30 to get our shopping event underway. We first hit the Scholastic Book Fair (yes, again!) and Target. After a quick run back to Ankeny, we shopped Toys R Us and Babies R Us, then went to Jordan Creek Mall. I swear, it was so busy we parked at the Quick Trip across the street (and needed the shuttle!!). After our extreme hike to the mall, we found some cute items and good deals, and my "gut rot" began to worsen (I think it was round two of the stomach flu this season - no fun!). After our shopping madness, we had dinner and drinks at On the Border - love it! We went back to our hotel for presents - thanks everyone!!! And attempted to sleep amid my numerous potty-trips. Blah! Despite the gut rot and crowded mall, it was an awesome weekend with my two favorite girls in the world! November 17th next year :) Mackenzie, freaking out over the crowd of cars on 86th Street!
