What a moose!
My parents came up, and were excited to see that Carter was starting solid foods (it is quite the show!). We decided to have lunch at Hy-Vee, so that she could try a little of everything from the salad bar. She loved it! She tried nearly everything I'd shovel into her mouth, and enjoy the cottage cheese, cantalope, pasta and potato salad (finely mashed), ham, beets, and egg. She did not enjoy the bean salad at all. But, her favorite?? Oh yes, the famed chocolate pudding! Heaven!
For snack, we tried grahams. She had a couple ounces of formula and an entire graham cookie! And she couldn't get enough! She tried to pick the crumb up from her tray!
Because she was such a mess (look at those nasty, icky, sticky, little hands! Gross!), she had spa night early. Carter loves the water, so we've given up using her tub. We put her in the bathtub, in fairly shallow water and let her splish and splash. Lately, she's noticed the faucet, and is amazed by the water. She gets really irritated that she can't hold the water, but continues to try and grab it!
