To celebrate Jon and Josh being older than dirt, we went out for dinner and drinks and karoke. We had BBQ at Woodee's BBQ in Waukee. Now, I'm not generally a BBQ fan. It's too barbaric for me to eat things from the bone. But it was actually pretty good. And not crowded, which is good when you're a loud and goofy party of ten! After dinner, we moved on to Mickey's Irish Pub, which was also fairly quiet. Jon, or George Pimberton or something!, signed up to karoke. What a man! We all said, "I'm gonna sing this one!" and made fun of the other women who sang off key, but Jon got up and sang his little heart out to ZZ Stardust (or something - I'm too young to know this band! I think they're from Jon's youth ... 1963 or something?? JK!) He did awesome! We had some drinks, and read quality literature provided to us by Mickey's. It was a good time with great friends! And, when we return from Hawaii in July, we will go again and drink lots, and KAROKE our shorts off! Woo hoo!
Happy Birthday, Pirate Jon! Ahoy, matey! I'm old!
Tina and Josh. Josh also celebrated a birthday: "since I'm 30, I got better presents!" he said about the occasion
Dave and Stacy (bravo Stacy for going to Farrell's! Let me know how it goes! I hope they don't yell at you or hit you!)

Me and Andy - My Gaud, we're cute!
Andy expands his knowledge base with George Pimberton's "Mad Ducks and Bears" book. Classic!
The man of the hour: Jon singing Incubus.
And this is what we left at home:
